Dustin Washburne_The Roof is on fire_Week 2

Well... There's quite a bit we don't know. As well as this was curated, we don"t know how it was curated.
I did more research about this.
It took two years to complete as well as after school classes for all the students.
This project discusses things like education, sexuality, culture, and drugs. It's not as non-scripted as they portray it to be... In a way. During these "classes", they discussed how to use the correct vocabulary around these topics. These were not random teenagers as they were actually somewhat trained.

I have mixed feelings on whether it was "successful" or not. One scene was a young girl saying it was too controlled and "felt like it wasn't about them anymore". I disagree with her. I believe if you put 220 young adults on a rooftop of a parking garage, in front of a camera somethings bound to go haywire. And the whole thing was made for them so she's kind of oblivious. It was effective in a few ways to me and others not so much. It got the conversation started but not in an efficient way. I felt like displaying the conversations that every one wants to talk about, but not actually opening it up to the people viewing was an interesting decision. Although, they did have another project later called Code 33: Emergency Clear the Air. (1997-1999)- almost the same concept but with local police involved in the conversation, among young adults. I found this project a bit more interesting.

Issues that have been impacting my life and the ones around me mainly revolve around environmental issues. One of the pressing issues that affects the agriculture community in California is the State’s distribution of water. Now a tactic that the State Government has had for many years is to take water from Northern California and send it down to the South. The south is in need of water as they do not get enough to support themselves, but the issue is a bit larger and encompuses the states refusal to create more reservoirs to store water to be used during the dryer months. But the main issue is that the focus is uneven and falls heavily on the side of sending it to the south instead of distributing it evenly so farmers in all regions but mainly central and southern california have the proper amount of water to grow their crops. California is one of the leading states in the production and exporting of agriculture products due to our vast and wide scale of geological environments, but ...
